May is the Month of Mary

The month of May is devoted to Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary. This Sunday, May 6th after the 10:30 Mass, there will be a Marian procession. At the end of the procession, the May crowning will take place in the church where a month-long shrine will be in place for private devotions and prayers. A member of the First Communion Class of 2012 will crown Mary. We encourage all parishioners to make use of the shrine. Vases will be available for fresh flowers to be given in Mary's honor.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Right to Life Committed seeks to inform parishioners on the respect for human life from conception to natural death, to bring about a conversion of heart and mind to be open to God’s special gift of life. A consistent ethic of life reflects the Church’s firm conviction of the dignity of each and every person. Created in the image and likeness of God, every person is unique and special.   Each of us has a responsibility to God, to self and to others to nurture, protect and sustain life at all stages.
