The OLPH Choir is seeking new members to sing for the principal Sunday Mass at 10:30 AM. The Choir also sings for Holy Day Masses and other special Solemn High Masses.

Rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the church office building.

Previous experience, while helpful, is not necessary.

The choir sings weekly and assists the faithful in singing the parts of the Mass proper to the congregation.

With the Christmas season coming, the choir needs member to help.

The role of the cantor at Liturgy includes chanting the Proper antiphons of the Day and leading the faithful in chanting the Psalm Responsory and the Alleluia Verse before the Gospel.

The cantor also assists in helping the faithful to sing the Ordinary Parts such as the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei.
